Trigonometry Ex. 12.2

Coordinate Geometry Chapter 9 Class 9

Coordinate geometry is that branch of mathematics in which we study about the positions of different points in a plane according to x-axis and y-axis. In Cartesian Coordinate System, any point can be represented by (x,y), in which x-coordinate is also called abscissa, while the y-coordinate is called ordinate.
First of all we should know that in order to find out the distance between any two points, we use distance formula.

Exercise 9.1

Using the same method and formula, you may do the remaining parts of this question.
Now, let's move to the next question.

This is the whole story of Exercise 9.1.

Exercise 9.2

These were some of the questions solved for the students to have an idea how we can use distance formula in problem solving.

Now we are going to discuss a method to find the mid point of a line segment if the coordinates of its end points would be give.

In this case, we will use MID POINT FORMULA. And exercise 9.3 is based on using this formula.
